About me
Having enjoyed an idyllic childhood on a mixed farm in Sussex I developed a strong passion for all things to do with the countryside. Along with my sisters we enjoyed all farming activities from hop picking to milking cows and were surrounded by animals including rescued squirrels, rabbits, dogs, cats, ponies, shetland sheep and jersey cows.
I now have two very treasured dogs. My constant companion for the last 12 years Winnie, and my new addition Nellie. Everyday for me starts with an early morning adventure with my two girls enjoying the changing seasons.
A couple of years ago I thought I would see if I could still draw as I hadn’t done much since college. I did a quick sketch of a hare and got such lovely feedback that it encouraged me to do more. I had always been drawn to the precision of graphite but wanted to add colour to my work. Then I discovered professsional coloured pencils. They are the perfect medium for me to recreate the extensive detail in my subjects. I now spend most of my time doing pet portraits but I love to fit in the odd original piece when I can.
